I take pride in my work at Step Up and that I can say I know people who teach, volunteer and study here. For me, the Centre is, above all, a community that influences and augments everyone who comes here. It is because of this that Step Up constantly changes.
Once I decided to organise a charity clothes sale – and managed to find volunteers to help from among the teachers and students. Some people take part in Literature Club, others gather a group and go to a museum, or to the football.
It doesn’t matter what you do, what your interests are or what your strengths are – at Step Up you can always help and always receive a ton of positive feedback and treasured memories – that’s why people always want to return here. Sooner or later almost everyone who ends up at Step Up brings along his or her colleagues, friends or relatives. I always think this speaks volumes.
