An invitation to Literature Club on 24th October
We are so excited to share this news with you – the first Literature Club session of the year will take place on 24th October and will be dedicated to the important 19th-century novel, “Evgeny Onegin”.
Literature Club is one of the Centre’s oldest companions: it has been going for 15 years now. And this whole time, the most talented leader has been running the club – Mikhail Igorevich Sverdlov. We know him as a wonderful teacher, the co-author of a book about the life and works of Sergei Yesenin, and the editor and author of the foreword and commentaries in a book of Nikolay Oleinikov’s poetry.
A presentation of this collection of poems took place yesterday at the Central House of Journalists at the Literary evening “Union of Real Art”. Mikhail Sverdlov and Oleg Lekmanov began the evening with a lecture on the works of real artists. He continued with a reading of Oleinikov’s poetry performed by modern poets – Lev Rubenstein, Dmitry Bikov, Timura Kiburov etc.
Congratulations Mikhail Igorevich, we are so proud of you!
Friends, at our Literature Club you will be able to personally ask questions to authors and to engage in, as our leader says, something of a higher level – that is, literature.
The club starts at 15.00 at Voznesensky pereulok, 8.
