Student project conference “The History of Invention”

Do you know what a flash mob is or where shoes come from? Or in whose honour the cruiser Aurora was named? No? Then you should come!

We’ll learn these things and many others on November 25th at Step Up’s annual Student project conference “The History of Invention.”

During the conference our students — residents and graduates of orphanages and psycho-neurological institutions — will present the results of their work, and tell us about some popular invention, the history of which is not widely known.

This will be our fourth conference, and it sometimes seems as if quite soon there will be no more topics! Still, even if some topics are repeated, there is always something new to be explored.

The aim of this event is not only to improve our students’ public speaking skills, but also to introduce the important experience of teamwork. Every year the conference is held in a different place. Last year it was in the chemistry department of Moscow State University. This year the conference will be held at the offices of Merrill Lynch.

Friends, volunteers and anyone else who is interested are welcome!
If you would like to come to the conference, please register.
November 25th 6:30 p.m on 7 Petrovka Street (offices of Mеrrill Lynch).
