5th student conference on “History of Inventions”
This year we will be holding our 5th student conference project, turning our attention to the history of inventions. It will take place on 2nd December.
Every year the Step Up Centre holds two conferences for students and one of them comes in the first half of the academic year. These conferences are in no way different from “adult” ones that are held by famous speakers we all know. But here, the speakers are students from the Centre and they present their own projects – reports with presentations, video clips or sketches – about the history of inventions that we would otherwise not think about.
What is so unique about our conferences is that they are always held at different venues thanks to our partners and sponsors. This allows the students not only to see and learn something new about professions and people who work in large offices but also to quickly learn how to find their way around a new place, to overcome fear and overwhelming feelings in front of strangers and of course, to overcome communicative difficulties that are often the cause of unsuccessful stories when communicating with employers or teammates.
This conference will be held at the Hyundai Motorstudio, where our students have never been. Anyone who would like to support our students is welcome to come along – it is very important for our students!
